Probable User Effort
Guidelines on time using the Nixon Fair Database (also known as the 'Fair DB'):
Users should plan to spend the following amounts of time:
2 to 4 person-hours on average to update class / section, competition and prize changes from the previous year, and to print verification reports
2 to 3 person-hours, using 2 people, to read and compare the printed fairbook and the Class / Section / Prizes / Points data.  This is assuming that the database is not used to prepare the fair book / prize book.
1 person - minute per class / section (group of competitions) to print the judging sheets
30 person-minutes per computer or printer to setup, network and verify proper operation
1 person - minute per entry form to create or update the name, address, contact info and exhibitor number
1 person - minute per entry form to put in the entries (the broad average is 11 lines per entry form; some have 60+ lines, others have 3)
1 person - minute per entry form to put in the judging results
between 20 seconds and 1 person - minute per entry form to find and fix curiosities. This depends on:
the care that exhibitors take in preparing their entry forms, and
the precision of the recording secretaries, and
the enthusiasm of committee members to help find exhibits in question, and verify what went wrong
30 person - seconds per entry form to setup, verify, or update unpaid exhibitorship (membership) fees, entry fees, and other charges or credits
2 person - minutes per High Points Competition
1.5 person - minutes per entry form to calculate and verify the prize winnings, print the exhibitor summaries, and the payouts reports
30 person - seconds per entry form to combine the exhibitor summaries, the gift vouchers and the payout cheques in an envelope
1 person - minute per class / section (group of competitions) to print the Fair summary reports, Entries and Judging Summaries, Media Reports
So, a fair with 200 exhibitors, competing in 20 classes / sections, and probably 400 competitions, with 20 High Points prizes, would require between 27 and 32 person - hours to do the entire process.   Between 10.5 and 12 hours of that time can be done by assistants (updating Names, entering Entry Forms, and Judging Results, dealing with some of the curiosities).  4.5 to 7.5 person-hours would be done before the fair.
